Unhide hidden folder due to virus

Recently. my windows xp laptop got infected with virus.win32.vb.dg and it's very powerful. This virus spread using USB drive and immediately infect the computer. It cause the folders in the root of your drive to be hidden and duplicate the folders with virus file looks exactly as the original folder. The original folders remain hidden even though you already remove the virus. It's not possible to change it in explorer or folder's options. Registry editor/regedit will also not help. Here's one simple solution. Using the cmd/command prompt: To recover the hidden folder in ur drive C, type this in cmd. To open cmd, go to start menu > run > and type cmd. attrib c:\*.* /d /s -h -r -s Change the letter "c" with your drive letter, for example if you want to recover hidden folder in drive D, type: attrib d:\*.* /d /s -h -r -s That's all. The recovering process may take longer times depending on the size of your hard disk and the number of folders inside the drive. Wanna skip the cmd task?
